With the last hours of March pass the last strains of Bach's b minor Invention and Sinfonia. I've been strolling through them all for the past fifteen months. I read somewhere that one of Bach's pedagogical methods was to make his students learn the Inventions, then the Sinfonias, French Suites, Partitas, WTC, Goldberg Variations... all in one year. Yikes! I took it a bit slower, and loved it. Such wonderful pieces. Now I'm on to the French Suites for a year, two months for each Suite, perhaps with memorization. See you there.
